The inspiring journey of Monika and Rahul Ahirwal, who are turning their own entrepreneurial success into an opportunity for others to build and own IT businesses.

Every great company does not begin with a large office, a big team or significant investment. Some stories begin in a small room—with limited resources, but with a very big dream. The story of ITSOFTLAB, which began in Indore, is one such journey. A husband and wife started with a modest beginning, and today the same couple is working towards giving people across different cities an opportunity to build and own their own IT companies.

This is the story of Monika Ahirwal and Rahul Ahirwal—an IIT Roorkee alumni couple who chose entrepreneurship over the security of a conventional career and laid the foundation of ITSOFTLAB Consultancy Services Pvt. Ltd. Today, they are being recognised not only as technology entrepreneurs, but also as a couple attempting to turn their own success into an opportunity for others.

The beginning was not easy. A small room, limited resources and an uncertain road ahead. But one thing was clear to both of them—they wanted to build something that could grow with time and whose impact would extend beyond their own lives.

When They Built Their Own IT Company, One Question Changed Their Direction

As Monika and Rahul understood the technology industry more closely, they noticed two major challenges. On one side, businesses needed multiple software solutions for different functions. On the other, entrepreneurs who wanted to enter the IT business faced the difficult task of building software products, technical teams, product infrastructure, sales capabilities and implementation processes from the ground up.

That led to a simple but powerful question: If we built an IT company ourselves, could we create a technology ecosystem that could help other people build their own IT companies too?

That question gradually became the foundation of ITSOFTLAB360.

From a Software Company to a Technology Ecosystem

ITSOFTLAB began building an integrated technology ecosystem that is now known as ITSOFTLAB360. The ecosystem brings together more than 12 integrated software solutions, including HRMS, CRM, ERP, POS, Sales Force Automation, Marketing Automation, Vendor Management, Supply Chain & Logistics, Learning Management, Queue Management and Document Management.

But for the founders, building technology was not the final destination. The next question was bigger: should this technology ecosystem benefit only their own company, or could it also create opportunities for other entrepreneurs to build businesses?

Where SaaS Creates Recurring Revenue, They Chose to Share the Opportunity

SaaS, or Software-as-a-Service, has become one of the strongest recurring-revenue models in the technology industry. Typically, a technology company keeps its successful software products within its own business and generates recurring subscription revenue from them.

Monika and Rahul looked at this established model from a different perspective. Their thinking was that if a software ecosystem can create a recurring business opportunity, why should that opportunity remain limited to one company? Why not share it with other entrepreneurs as well?

This thinking led to the ITSOFTLAB360 franchise model—an approach designed to connect entrepreneurs with an established technology ecosystem and give them an opportunity to develop their own local IT businesses.

The objective was not simply to sell software. The objective was to give people an opportunity to become owners of their own IT companies.

You Do Not Necessarily Need a Deep IT Background to Start

One of the distinctive aspects of the ITSOFTLAB360 model is that an entrepreneur does not have to develop software from scratch. Through product training, technical support, implementation assistance and business development support, the franchise model aims to provide partners with an established technology foundation.

This does not mean that running an IT business becomes easy. Rather, the idea is to allow entrepreneurs to focus more on their market, customers and business development instead of having to build the entire technology stack from zero. This approach attempts to make technology entrepreneurship more accessible even to people who do not come from traditional IT development backgrounds.

From Indore to Jaipur, Delhi, Chennai and Beyond

What began in Indore is gradually reaching other cities. Entrepreneurs in Jaipur, Delhi, Chennai and other markets have shown interest in the ITSOFTLAB360 franchise concept.

The concept has also received encouraging responses at previous Franchise India Shows. Visitors and aspiring business owners showed particular interest in the integrated software franchise model and the

possibility of building a recurring-revenue technology business. The enthusiasm received at these events further strengthened the founders’ belief that many people across India want to start businesses but need the right technology foundation and support.

The next milestone in this journey is the Franchise India Show on 10 and 11 October 2026 at Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai, where ITSOFTLAB360 will take its integrated software franchise model to an even wider entrepreneurial audience.

The Vision Is Bigger Than Building a Franchise Network

If Monika and Rahul’s story is viewed only through the lens of franchising, its deeper purpose can easily be missed. For them, this is not simply a plan to increase the number of franchise partners.

Their vision is to see ITSOFTLAB360 offices across cities in India in the coming years. They want entrepreneurs in different markets to run their own IT businesses, provide technology solutions to local companies and create new employment opportunities around those businesses.

A franchise office can potentially create opportunities in sales, implementation, customer support and other business functions. In this way, the expansion of a technology business can extend beyond software and become connected with local entrepreneurship and employment.

“We Do Not Just Want to Build a Bigger Company”

Perhaps this is the most important part of Monika and Rahul’s philosophy. They believe that when the growth of one company is connected with the growth of many other entrepreneurs, success takes on a much larger meaning.

Their aspiration is for ITSOFTLAB360 to be known not only for integrated software solutions, but also for enabling people to enter the IT business and contributing to new employment opportunities across cities.

From Indore to International Recognition

The journey of ITSOFTLAB has also extended beyond its franchise initiative. The company recently delivered a project for the High Commission of Sri Lanka and received an appreciation letter from the Counsellor of the High Commission.

For a technology company that began in Indore, working with an international institutional client represents an important milestone in its journey.

Another significant milestone has now been added to that journey. Monika Ahirwal and Rahul Ahirwal have been invited as TEDx speakers, where they will share their entrepreneurial journey and their perspectives on technology and business innovation.

Perhaps This Is What Real Success Looks Like

When an entrepreneur looks back at a journey, there can be a long list of revenues, clients, projects and achievements. But for Monika and Rahul, perhaps the greatest achievement is something else.

The opportunity they once searched for themselves is now an opportunity they are trying to create for others.

Once, they were two people dreaming of building an IT company from a small room. Today, their dream is to see many people across cities in India become owners of their own IT companies.

And if, in the years ahead, ITSOFTLAB360 becomes known across cities in India, its story will not only be about a software company. It will be the story of a husband and wife, a journey that began in a small room, and a vision that started with themselves but did not remain limited to themselves.

“Sometimes, the greatest measure of a company’s success is not how big the company itself becomes, but how many other people it gives the opportunity to grow.”
